There are a few books in the Library that are about a specific regiment/ship/platoon/squadron. There are however, many books in the Library that contain information on the different regiments. You will be most successful if you know what battles your men fought in - and search that battle. Alternately, browse the books and look in the index.

Subject terms:

• Your regiment's name (remember they may be known by different names and they may be part of a larger division)
• Canada Army/Navy/Air force
• Canada Regimental History
• Canadian Army
• World War, 1939-1945
• Name of the battle

Books on the World Wars can be found in sections 940.53-940.54. Books on the Canadian military can be found in 355 - 356.
