Your school email - how to access

All students at St. Paul’s receive a Microsoft email account. This account is one of the services provided with the Microsoft resources (Office 365) you receive as a student at St. Paul’s. With your email account, you can email your peers and teachers but more importantly, you can email external email accounts.

All your Community messages are forwarded to your school email account. You cannot, however, respond to Community messages from your email. You must respond to a Community message in the Community.

Along with your school email, there are other apps in Office 365 that you may want to explore including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Accessing your email at school:

  • Click on the link on the desktop
  • sign in with your username and password (same as the username and password you use to log into the school computers)

Accessing your email at home:

Option 1

  • Log onto St. Paul's Community
  • Click on "Webmail (bottom left corner)
  • Sign in with your username and password

Option 2

Emailing your teacher:

To email your teacher, use the following pattern:

first initial last name@stpauls.mb.ca

ex. if your teacher's name is Great Teacher = gteacher@stpauls.mb.ca

Forwarding email

Teachers and faculty use the Community to provide information to students on a regular basis. Therefore, students are expected to check their Community messages and school email regularly. To ensure they don’t miss anything, many students like to forward their gocrusaders email to an account they have connected to their phone or that they check on a regular basis.

**This is different that forwarding a single message or a group of messages to another email. When you forward your email all your email from the account will be forwarded automatically to the account you chose.

To forward all email:

  1. Log into your gocrusaders email account
  2. Click on the gear icon in the top right corner of the screen (Settings menu)
  3. In the Settings search box - type "Forwarding"
  4. Check "Start Forwarding" and add your email you use in the box provided.

The following slideshow walks through the steps of forwarding all your email to a different account

The Community - Communication tool

St. Paul's Community is your "go-to" place for information about your classes, clubs, and events. It is also where you will find the daily announcements and any forms you require.

To access the Community at school:

  • Click on the link on the desktop
  • Sign in with your username and password (same username and password you use to log onto the school computers)

To access the Community at home:

The Community’s message service is an internal messaging system. With it, you can look up other members of the Community such as your teachers and classmates, and send messages and attachments without needing to know their email address. This is the way your teachers will usually contact you.

As mentioned, your teachers will contact you through the Community so it is important that you check your Community messages daily.

Any message you receive through the Community is automatically forwarded to your school email (username@gocrusaders.ca). Email messages ARE NOT forwarded to your Community messages. Therefore, you cannot respond to a Community message with your email account. Also, because the Community messages are contained within the school community, you cannot use it to message or email accounts that are not part of the school Community (like your gmail account).
