Still in the early years of their competitive program, the Crusaders Junior Varsity and Varsity teams continued to develop during the 1990s with a number of key victories throughout the seasons. Organized a decade earlier, the Grade Nine team maintained their high standing in the St. James - Assiniboia league, with multiple championship wins and second place finishes.
With the advent of the 2000s, the teams began to see greater success on the court, with numerous tournament wins, several undefeated regular seasons and the first provincial varsity title since 1988. The victories of the mid-2000s ushered in a new decade of Crusader volleyball success.

The beach volleyball program was developed in 2003, allowing students to further their skills in Spring-time competition. With many students participating, the program has proven to be a fun and exciting addition to the Crusaders athletic program.
Within recent years, the Crusader volleyball teams have remained amongst the highest ranked in the province. In both tournament and league play, the teams have each captured numerous victories against local, provincial, and, for the Varsity Team, national opponents. This success can be traced to the abilities of St. Paul’s athletes as well as the strong leadership and dedication provided by their coaches. The knowledge and experience of the Crusaders coaches, including teachers, alumni, and community volunteers, have allowed the program and individual teams to continue to develop, gaining in both skills and intensity.

Played each June, the Crusaders have often placed in the top three of the beach volleyball league, with multiple championship finishes. Most recently, the Varsity Boys and Grade Nine Co-ed captured the provincial championship titles during the 2016 season.
