"Spirit and tradition are the most important assets to the athletic program at St. Paul’s, and impossible as it may seem, the students seem to keep the fire going year in and year out... It’s tremendous the way the Crusaders of today follow in the footsteps of their predessors, but that’s what makes this school stand out."
- Eddie Cass, 1970
Football was woven into the fabric and identity of St. Paul's College shortly after its introduction to the school in 1931.
The football teams of these early years were known for their championship spirit, built upon skill and discipline. These winning traits were fostered by their coaches and served to influence Crusader athletes on and off the field.
With these early foundations set, they continued to influence athletes, coaches, and entire teams through seasons of victory and loss.
