In the ninety-three year history of St. Paul's, the school has made many updates to accommodate growing numbers and expanding needs. These expansions and renovations have served to provide students with boarding rooms, modernized classrooms, and common spaces.

St. Paul’s High School Archive
Paul Shea Hall was constructed in 1932 to provide additional space for the high school section. Built adjacent to the old Manitoba College building, it featured classrooms, an auditorium, and boarding rooms.
In 1939, an addition was built at the back of the building to accommodate the growing number of students.
September, 1948

The future home of St. Paul's College was constructed in 1882 as Manitoba College. By the mid-1940s, the faculty of St. Paul's recognized that the school's needs were quickly outgrowing the aging building.
In 1948 a building campaign was launched to expand Paul Shea Hall. The necessary funds were never raised.
1984

The Jesuit community formally departed their residence at the school in the early 1980s. This allowed for the repurposing of the wing into additional classrooms and areas for faculty.
In honour of his dedication to the school as educator and principal, the wing was named after Fr. St. Clair Monaghan.
1988

In 1988 the Pathways of Discovery campaign was launched. The campaign intended to renovate the science laboratories and construct an auditorium and chapel.
Financial constraints restricted the construction project. As a result, the auditorium was never realized. The Fr. Holland Learning Centre was created with the redirected funds.

The Jesuit Legacy Campaign was undertaken in 1999 to raise funds for the school's first expansion. The new wing was designed to provide students with specialized classrooms - a multimedia lab, art room, and music hall.
Student spaces were the central focus of the wing's lower level, which featured a new cafeteria, changeroom, and amphitheater.

Recent alumni can recall the construction and opening of the Paul Albrechtsen MultiPlex. For two years, construction altered the school's landscape.
The formal opening of the expansion took place in Spring 2013.

For much of his tenure as president, Father Alan Fogarty S.J. worked towards expanding the school. This work was completed alongside the campaign directors, the board, and the community.
In Spring 2013, this hard work culminated with the opening of the Paul Albrechtsen MultiPlex.
